Recent articles about the tunnel tout the progress of the work showing it to be 70% complete (not the tunnel itself) and the progress as it relates to Seattle’s commercial and office real estate on the Seattle waterfront. What is ignored is the pending litigation, cost over runs, and the “true” cost of these items, which is a burden that will be passed on by the citizens in the form of new taxes that will impact the cost of multiple residential and all other forms of real estate in the City of Seattle.
