The owner of a 25-story Hi Rise multi-family residential building in Seattle decided they wanted to sell. The rental market was getting worse, so we recommended taking it off the market after three months. Nine months later when the rental market turned we put it back on the market.
A construction crew dug a huge hole in the street in front of the building that prevented access as we prepared to go to market. Our investigation confirmed and that the ‘big dig’ was the beginning of the light rail tunnel right in front of the building. We advised the seller to turn the ‘big dig’ into a big positive.
There were over 20 showings and over 12 offers. Having initially sold the client the property, we were pleased to resell it for him with a nice profit.
